cast on 12 stitches and divide on to 2 needles to prepare to knit with the magic
loop method. Placing a marker may help remind you when you’ve completed the
Round 1: knit
Round 2: ( k1, yo, k1, yo, k1) 4 times
Round 3 and each subsequent odd round: purl
Round 4: (k2, yo, k1, yo, k2) 4 times
Round 6: (k3, yo, k1, yo, k3) 4 times
Round 8: (k4, yo, k1, yo, k4) 4 times
Round 10: (k5, yo, k1, yo, k5) 4 times
Round 12: (k6, yo, k1, yo, k6) 4 times
Round 14: (k7, yo, k1, yo, k7) 4 times
Round 16: (k8, yo, k1, yo, k8) 4 times
Round 18: (k9, yo, k1, yo, k9) 4 times
Round 20: (k10, yo, k1, yo, k10) 4 times
Continue in pattern to desired size. Recommended finished size – 22 stitches on each side, (about 7” Square). End on an odd purl row.
Bind off loosely and weave in ends. Thread beginning yarn through tapestry
needle, pick up center stitches and cinch circle closed. Secure by weaving end
through at least one round of stitches.
