Mom Sr and I had such a great time at Stitches West! We loved communing with our fellow knitters and crocheters, learning new tricks in our classes and most especially loved the opportunity to see new indie dyers up close and personal. We found some real winners at the show that we’ll be shopping with this year:
Dizzy Blonde Studios‘ gorgeous rack of amazing colorways was the first thing to catch our eye:
Phydeaux Designs sure wowed us with amazingly lovely, subtle color shifting combinations:
Western Sky Knits colorways were so bright and fun – they all wanted to come home with me!
Huckleberry Knits offered both vibrant yarn and deeply saturated fiber. I couldn’t resist this braid of Polworth/Silk in the “Iris” colorway:
I didn’t get a photo of the display at the Oink Pigments booth, but luckily Mom Sr brought home a skein in the Dragon Scales and Frog Legs colorway I could photograph for you:
She also bought some Drops Lace. Oh my goodness. It has to be the softest stuff in the world!
I was really sad that I didn’t get the mini weaving loom from Purl & Loop. Luckily I found it for sale online!
We met sweet little Bodhi while waiting to enter the marketplace on Saturday. He had us all charmed within a few minutes. Isn’t he handsome in his hand knit sweater? His mom, Meegan, knit it using Henry’s Sweater pattern from Petite Purls in richly colored cotton.
The stitch marker swap was so great. We swapped our Simply Notable flower markers for an array of creatively crafted markers we’ll have so much fun using in the months until our next Stitches visit.
Because I just don’t see how you can do this just once. See you there next year!
