At first sight, I was completely smitten with the Mary Go Round Crochet Flower Ring pattern! Such a cute little crocheted frame. I sat on the pattern for several days dreaming about what I’d put in the frame. It finally hit me – how adorable would these be holding the letters of my girls names? They’d look so bright and bold marching across the walls of their rooms! Since I’m currently working on Ivy’s room, I started happily hooking her frames in cheery coordinating colors.
I printed each letter from this great collection of letter pictures. I loved the thought of all the letters being different cases and backgrounds but all printed in gray scale. I printed them on pearlized cardstock which gave them a unique metallic sort of look.
If you give this a try, cut out each square letter and hot glue to the back of the frame, ensuring that the letter is perfectly centered. Glue or stitch small plastic drapery rings to the back for hangers.
Easy Peasy, Crafty Friends! Hanging each individual letter so that they are perfectly straight? Well, that’s a bit of a challenge.
Terrific idea! You both come up with the best, and most creative, projects! Thanks so much.
I love the bright colors of yarn you used. What brand/kind is it ?
Hi Loraine,
I just used Lily Sugar ‘n Cream from my local craft store. 😉
How cute! My girls would love these. 🙂
So nice!
Which kind of yarn do you use to do it? I love those colors!!!
