I spotted the cutest sparkly clothes pins on my last trip through the local craft store! I dug through the entire bin looking for a color that would match my kitchen but could only come up with pink. It occurred to me that I was at a CRAFT store, so why not get the supplies to make clothes pin magnets in just the right color? Anything I came up with would be an improvement over the mismatched plastic chip clips holding the dozens of school papers littering the fridge.
I gathered my supplies – a bag of wooden clothes pins, acrylic paint, paint brush, magnets and sassy little gems to bring some sparkle to my magnets. I painted my clothes pins with an inexpensive foam brush and let them dry overnight.
next, I added my sparkly gems – these had an adhesive back but if yours don’t, glue works too.
I added strong magnets to the back with hot glue.
Such a cute result! Now if only they would quit sprouting legs and ending up on the magnet boards in my kids’ rooms! 😉
What a great idea! Thanks for sharing it with us, Carli!
That’s an awesome idea!
