Besides being a Princess Room, Ivy also wanted her room to be full of birdies! Who could blame her? Certainly not Cinderella…..;-) I found some charming rustic bird cages at my local craft store. I knew they’d make a great hanging accent but remembered that Ivy had requested birdies. I had a light bulb moment at the craft store and selected an inexpensive book of scrapbook paper that coordinated with the colors in her room, then searched for a suitable bird shape on Google Images. I discovered there is no shortage of simple birdie outlines perfect for this project.
After cutting out the shapes, I glued on coordinating wings and poked little holes at the top of their heads and strung them up with fishing wire to the top of the cage, hanging them at various heights.
A perfectly princess-ish addition to Ivy’s room makeover!
Awww, what a clever idea for Ivy’s room. And so easy to make!
