As much as we craft around here, Carli and I accumulate a good deal of leftovers and scraps. If you’ve read our blog for awhile, you know that we’re fans of the scrapbuster project. If it’s cute or useful and will eliminate some leftovers, we’re all over it!
Peppermint Mocha Mama is hosting a contest for the month of January. She asks you to challenge yourself with something you haven’t done before. Carli and I decided to bring our own scrapbusting vibe to the project and worked out something we could do jointly to create something from nothing, using both of our skills.
We started with 2 ounces, (about 2 dollars worth), of undyed Corriedale roving left over from Holiday crafting. (The girls made felted soaps and felted balls for Holiday decorations and gifts.)
Here’s a little peek at our progress:

We’ll keep you posted.
I love the colors – and now I feel like I’ve been completely teased!! I scrolled further, willing there to be more but I was left hanging… so cruel – but I love it.

Uuuuuh, can’t wait what you both come up with this project!
Thanks Hanna! This is one of those “Process” things – where doing it is the best part, I think.
They look great! I love the colors! -What are you going to make with them?
You’ll see! 😉 It won’t be long now … I’m almost done with my part and about to pass them on to Carli.
I love the saturated colours! I only hope to one day spin even and balanced yarn like that.
Awww thanks Marisa! I don’t know how balanced it is, but close enough for the purposes of this project! 🙂
