I spent the last day or two looking for Christmas patterns to add to my large supply of homemade Holiday decorations. I came across some great patterns that made it into my queue, but none quite as cute as these votive jar covers. Something about the delicate simplicity of the shell pattern drew me in and it was, in that instant, a “must-have”! Out came my supply of kitchen cotton and crochet hooks and away I went, creating the latest addition to this years Holiday decor.
I added a small rosette by Jenn Ozkan, which gave a romantic shabby chic look to my little candle cover. I imagine a half dozen of these scattered across my mantle – giving a luminaria-type glow to our winter evenings.
Both of these patterns are so well written and easy to follow. I’m not likely to stop until I run out of recyclable jars!
These are adorable Carli! Feel free to make me some and send them my way. 🙂
Aren’t they great? If you use the really small canning jars (which I have a ton of from when I canned my apricot preserves) the whole project can be done in under an hour! I’ve made the two and I think I need about 4 to 6 more for my mantle. I love them!
I love your addition! And thanks for linking to my pattern! Enjoy!
