Leaf project bag

Leaf Knitting Project BagLeafy things tend to make me happy. Maybe it’s because I live in the desert that I often wish for the cool dappled shade I imagine to be found in wooded areas. That’s why this super cute tutorial - how to make a leaf shaped bag by Zakka Life immediately caught my eye. I thought it would be the perfect project bag!  I like that it closes with a simple drawstring so that your yarn doesn’t get caught in a zipper.

I decided to sew my bag out of classic linen, and made it about an inch bigger all around.  The veins were hand embroidered with an outline stitch and I decided to slip stitch that opening in the lining closed so fraying wouldn’t occur with use.

Stay tuned, this will be included as one of several gifts given away for a February/March KAL that we will be hosting!

Very pretty! I love leafy things too, even though I live in a very leafy place.

PS: I also really like your chapcha thingy. I feel reassured that I can still do arithmetic and it’s much easier than reading those wavy letters things!

Thanks Jan! I had to laugh at your comment on the captcha. You aren’t the only one that has a hard time with the wavy letters! I spend more time reloading trying to get a new word. haha!
