For those that know me, I’ll bet you’re surprised to see me post about knitting. That’s normally Mom’s job! I’ve tried, and failed to learn to knit many times. I understood the concept but as soon as I hit a rough patch, all that I’d learned quickly went out the window as I tossed my needles aside in frustration and forgot what I’d learned.
After attempting to teach me herself on several occasions, a few weeks ago Mom suggested I take a Craftsy knitting class called Knit Lab. I’ve gotten through several lessons and while I wouldn’t yet consider myself a “knitter”, it is finally, FINALLY sinking in!!!
This gave me a bright idea!
I always enjoy knitting and crocheting along with members of our Ravelry group, where project ideas are presented, frustrations are aired and finished objects are shared for all to admire. So I’ve decided to host a Holiday Gift Stitching Contest to begin October 1st and continue through the end of the year.
I found my Craftsy class so helpful and rewarding that I also wanted to share this wonderful find with our Crafty Friends. When I told the folks at Craftsy how effective their class has been for me, they offered to provide one free class of the winner’s choice to one randomly chosen gift stitcher to try for themselves! Yay!!! Craftsy has some fabulous classes – not only in sewing and needlework, but also baking, home decor and paper crafts! Mom and I are even taking a photography class together, which has been super helpful.
Entering is easy as 1,2,3:
