Untangled

Okay. Confession Time. I sleep with my ipod. I’m addicted to the soothing sound of soft music to fall asleep to. I start every night with an earbud in the unpillowed ear and the ipod itself neatly tucked under my pillow, but some mysterious conflict happens in the dark of night so that by morning, my earbuds are a tangled mess. Annoying.

Ipod Earbud Cozy

Ipod KnittedEnter my knitting solution: Untangled by Samiha Qureshi – an ingenious little earbud cozy pattern that is actually an icord knit right around the wires of your earbuds.

I used Mirasol Hacho DK yarn with size 3 double pointed needles,  but any variegated yarn would make a pretty earbud cozy, I’m pretty sure.

Ipod CraftI’m not saying I’d want wool wrapped around my earbuds at all times, but for my little secret night time addiction?

Perfect.

I think this is a wonderful idea! For all the ways to personalize the skin/cover of an iPhone, I’ve never seen anything close to comparable or so cute, for the buds!

They really work to keep them untangled too! Then there’s just some yarn that’s so pretty, you want to carry it around with you…

Thank you for the positive comments about my pattern. I absolutely LOVE the colors and the finished result of your covers. I love them so much, I think I’m going to make a pair using the same yarn. So very pretty…

Thank you Samiha! That yarn was just perfect for the pattern, wasn’t it? Love your pattern – so clever!

Brilliant! My Kindle Fire has a timer on it so I start my audiobook and set it for how long I think I will stay awake, cuddle up under my blankets and let my Kindle tell me a bedtime story. Now I need earbud cozies to get rid of morning tangles.
